Helen Feroli

Helen is a counselor and consultant with more than 25 years’ experience in the field of Human Services. She has worked at the local, state, and national level to implement, monitor, and enhance mental health and substance use disorder services for children, adults, and families.


Helen has worked with treatment courts, the most successful intervention to divert persons with substance use and mental health disorders out of the criminal justice system and into lives of recovery and stability.

She currently owns a small private clinical practice, is a part-time faculty member at OSU-Cascades Masters of Counseling Program, and has had the privilege of serving as a consultant faculty member with National Association of Drug Court Professionals since 2016.


Helen is committed to giving back to her community and has served as a volunteer and board member for local and national human services organizations. She is passionate about working with individuals and families affected by substance use and mental unwellness. As a family member and professional, Helen has witnessed both the anguish of addiction and the power of recovery. Whether championing policy, helping a family navigate ‘the system’, or holding space with someone who has made the difficult decision to ask for help; Helen is fueled by human connection and the belief in the redemption of human beings. She firmly endorses the notion that no one nor any family is beyond hope.


Helen holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, Massachusetts. In addition to her foundational coursework focusing on the understanding of human behavior as well as the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of mental and emotional problems; she has extensive post-graduate training and experience in the treatment of addiction, trauma, and co-occurring disorders.


Helen lives in Bend, Oregon with her husband and daughter. In her free time, Helen enjoys gardening, horseback riding, historical fiction, and spoiling their two large dogs.
